About Me
My name is Maree Langlands & I am a fully qualified and authorised Marriage and Wedding Celebrant located in the Illawarra. My aim is to work with you to create a ceremony that is personalised, professional, beautiful and extremely important to you. I am available to conduct Weddings,Renewal of Vows, Namings, Commitment Ceremonies, Funeral Services and other Rites of Passage in the Illawarra, Wollongong, Southern Highlands, South Coast, Sydney and other regions can be discussed on request.
My background is in nursing and I have completed further University studies in Ergonomics. After completing my initial Celebrancy Studies and gaining approval as a Commonwealth Appointed Civil Marriage Celebrant, I have completed a Certificate in Small Business Management and Diploma of Funeral Celebrancy. I believe I have the skills to listen to your requests & questions and the ability to communicate with all who are involved in the ceremony. I am friendly and have a sense of compassion and respect. I will always be professional in my approach. I am a member of the Australia Marriage Celebrant Incorporated and Australian Celebrants & Celebrations Network who provide me with professional support. It is important to me to constantly update and add to my skills through the professional development seminars, attending network meetings and liaising with great colleagues.
I am extremely happy in my marriage to a wonderful man; he is my best friend, soul mate, and my source of strength. We have been together for 49 years and married for 42 years and we have two beautiful boys. I believe there are many attributes that make up a successful marriage, Love, Respect, ability to Communicate, Romance, Happiness, Compassion, Sensitivity, Commitment, Trust and the capacity to work together as a team with Hopes and Dreams for the future together. Over the years I have been fortunate to meet many wonderful people and have been blessed with many lasting friendships. I am lucky to be involved with a group of Volunteers who work towards raising awareness and money for research to help one day find a cure for cancer.
It would be an honour and privilege to work with you to create a Ceremony that is meaningful, unique and a reflection of your beliefs, values and dreams for your special day.
